Bal­moral pledge

The Lib­eral-na­tion­als have pledged to pro­vide $672,500 for a new com­mu­nity cen­tre at Bal­moral if they win the state elec­tion.

Speak­ing at a Bal­moral show and shine event, Mem­ber for Lowan Emma Kealy said $472,500 would go to­wards build­ing costs and the re­main­ing $200,000 to fit­ting out a new kitchen.

“Cur­rent in­fra­struc­ture at Bal­moral Recre­ation Re­serve is white-ant rid­den and some ar­eas are un­safe for pub­lic use,” she said.

“The Bal­moral Recre­ation Re­serve Com­mit­tee and res­i­dents have done a fab­u­lous job in rais­ing more than $370,000 to­wards this com­mu­nity project.

“The new com­plex will be a fan­tas­tic mul­tiuse com­mu­nity as­set that will serve as a meet­ing place for the Bal­moral com­mu­nity and our re­gion for gen­er­a­tions to come.”
