Horsham basketball star Mitch Creek has made a successful debut with the Long Island Nets in the NBA G League.
Creek, donning the number 55 he made famous with the NBL’S Adelaide 36ers, came off the bench to play 22 minutes for the Nets in their season opener against Westchester Knicks.
He was effective in a reserve role, posting eight points, three rebounds and three assists.
He played effective defence as well, finishing with a plus-minus of 13 – meaning the Nets outscored their opponents by 13 points when Creek was on the court – in a 114-105 win.
The Nets’ next game will be Friday morning Australian time against Capital City Go-go.
