The West Australian - - INSIDE COVER -

Former Test captain Kim Hughes and former fast bowler Wayne Clark played cricket for WA and Australia in the 1970s and early 1980s, occasionally in the same team.

We’re a bit hazy on the specifics of any instances where the two men were at the crease at the same time but we are full bottle on their latest partnership — the breakfast show on Sport FM.

Station chairman Colin Minson confirmed they would take over the brekkie slot left vacant by the departure of host Adam McGrath, who moved to rac in Adelaide.

Hughes and Clark will broadcast the morning sports show from 6am-9am, Monday to Friday, starting on Monday.

Minson said he had the former cricketers (Clark also coached WA) lined up to provide ball-by-ball coverage of the coming Sheffield Shield season, too.

Tune in on 91.3.

Wayne Clark and Kim Hughes.
