A sur­vey of 90,000 West Aussies on eHar­mony has re­vealed lik­ing movies can make blokes nearly 50 per cent more de­sir­able to the op­po­site sex.

The sur­vey also found women ben­e­fited from a love of film, with those who cited go­ing to the cinema among their hob­bies re­ceiv­ing 18 per cent more mes­sages from would-be suit­ors.

West Aussie women are par­tial to men who like come­dies, es­pe­cially ones that are fe­male friendly, with the sur­vey re­veal­ing men who liked Brides­maids got a 119 per cent boost in the mes­sages their pro­file re­ceived.

Women who liked the ac­tion movie 300 en­joyed a 40 per cent in­crease in mes­sages.

Cu­ri­ously, men who ad­mit­ted to lik­ing Dirty Danc­ing saw their mes­sages fall 49 per cent.

Dirty Danc­ing is a turn-off.
