Pedestrian one metre rule

The West Australian - - LETTERS -

So cyclists have a one-metre overtaking rule. Apparently, this will apply even if they take up a large part of the road by riding a wide two-abreast.

Can pedestrians also expect a one-metre overtaking rule with cyclists facing fines for defaulting? I think not.

People have been killed and injured by irresponsible cyclists.
