Finch has a jab at designers
Rachael Finch has delivered a jab at other Fashion Week designers, saying she would not buy their clothes.
“In reality I wouldn’t wear half the stuff,” Finch said yesterday.
The model and television personality showed her B.O.D by Finch range during the active range show alongside other fitness wear designers, including P. E. Nation and Koral.
While many of the longstanding well-known brands decided not to show at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Sydney this year, Finch said it was an easy choice for her to showcase her young label.
“We are under a year old,” she said. “We saw it as a great opportunity.
“It is a really great platform. It is a great way to get your brand out there.
“It is my world, it is my passion. When you can combine your work with your passion it is surreal.”
This week, Finch posted online revealing she had gained 6kg in recent years.
She said it was important to share the positive body message, revealing it took her many years to feel comfortable in her body.
“I starting in the modelling industry over 10 years ago as a teenager, and lived in that world. Then I had to grow and make decisions from a health perspective on what is my body capable of and what is an appropriate weight for me,” she said.
“Things aren’t always perfect, things aren’t always photoshopped and edited the way they are in magazines.”
