Sticking with the royal wedding for a moment, Perth Mint has released a pair of limited-edition commemorative coins for the big day.

One is a 1/4oz 99.99% pure gold coin, which retails for $799, and the other is a 99.99% pure silver 1oz coin that’s a bargain at just $99.

Both feature Perth Mint’s “P” mint mark on the reverse design, and are issued as legal tender, with the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Harry’s grandma, Queen Elizabeth II, on the obverse.

Perth Mint group manager of minted products Neil Vance said the mint had celebrated significant milestones of the British monarchy for years.

“It is an honour to now convey Australia’s heartfelt congratulations to (Prince Harry and Meghan Markle) and warm wishes for their future happiness with these official coins approved by Buckingham Palace,” he said.
