No Middleton high-rise

The West Australian - - LETTERS -

When will LandCorp and the City of Albany understand that the proposal to build a 12-storey hotel at Middleton Beach is based on an old, tired, out of date and unpopular formula?

Iconic coastal places similar to Middleton Beach, such as Byron Bay, have responded to both the environment and the market and built eco-friendly, low rise, low impact, five-star resorts that attract the business clientele as well as those who are into nature-based tourism, adventure and local culture.

If LandCorp and the City are committed to a development on this site, maybe it’s time for a rethink.
