Show me the money, says Emmy winner
Twould rather have money than her Emmy Award. The 38-year-old actress, left, picked up the gong for Best Guest Actress in a comedy series for her stint as a guest host on Saturday Night Live during the glitzy award ceremony last week, but has joked that while she appreciates the accolade, she would rather have cash so she could “pay the rent”.
“I feel the same way I did when I wasn’t an Emmy winner,” she told E! News. “I don’t feel any different. I’m waiting for the cheque, you know, ‘cause you know, when you win a trophy, when you’re like a NASCAR driver and stuff, you get like, flowers and a cheque, so I’m hoping that happens.” “Accolades, what is that? Accolades don’t pay the rent. I gotta pay for my grandma’s nurses and stuff
. . . but it’s nice to have trophies. But it doesn’t matter if you don’t have a roof to keep ‘em under, huh?”
