Chic Bumble the hot tip for spring racing Borrowers Designer dress hire booms
Tipple’s Bumble marquee could be just the place to be for those wanting to do a bit of star-spotting this racing carnival. The social platform — designed to connect users on the basis of friendship, networking and dating — is bringing back its popular marquee to Tipple’s Derby Day on November 3 and Melbourne Cup Day on November 7 at the new home of Tipple, track-side at Ascot Racecourse.
Fresh from her appearance on The Bachelor, reality TV’s Brooke Blurton will be one of the high-profile personalities in the “Bumble Hive”, hoping to let her hair down after dumping Nick
“Honey Badger” Cummins. “The Bachelor was a long experience and now I get to go back to normal life and do the things I love to do,” Blurton told AAA Weekend.
Recently crowned Miss Universe Australia and this year’s face of Tipple, Francesca Hung, plans to attend both events and is excited to be going to her first major race days in Perth.
She flew in from Sydney this week to get her outfit planning under way, opting for local milliner Reny Kestel for her all-important headwear.
“I’ll be wearing a piece by Reny Kestel for both days and outfits by Manning Cartel,” Hung revealed.
“I like block colours. I’m not much of a pattern girl — I like a really nice bright colour and I like the trend of tailored suits — love that structured look.”
The ladies will join model Samara Tugwell, along with a swag of well-known Perth faces.
Last year’s attendees included Entourage actor Adrian Grenier, former Miss Universe Australia Olivia Rogers and Bachelor in Paradise’s Megan Marx.
The “Hive” off-the-track action also includes a prime position overlooking Fashions on the Field, access to the Dior pamper room and delicious signature “Queen Bee” cocktails. Krystal Sanders
