Monika back on the catwalk

The West Australian - - AAA WEEKEND -

Former Miss Universe Australia Monika Radulovic still has what it takes to strut her stuff on stage.

The 2015 Miss Universe Australia titleholder attended Tipple’s lavish Melbourne Cup day celebrations at Ascot Racecourse

where she took out second place in fashions on the field.

“You know they say if you’re not first, then you’re last, but I’m still very proud and I had to wear a sash and I thought my days of wearing a sash were behind me but obviously not,” she told AAA Weekend.

The Survivor Australia contestant is no stranger to mingling in some of the best marquees at Flemington, but says Perth’s definitely giving Melbourne a run for its money.

“Can I just say Tipple is on par with Melbourne and Flemington in terms of how they’ve put everything together; it is first class,” Radulovic, pictured right at Tipple, said.

“But I think the way that Perth differs from Melbourne is everyone here, I just feel so relaxed and everyone’s here to have a good time and that’s what it should be about first and foremost.”

Radulovic travelled to Perth for the first time with new husband Alesandro Ljubicic.

“We got to drive down to Fremantle and then to the Swan Valley — oh my gosh it was so beautiful, and just walking around the city, Perth has so much to offer, we’ve loved it.”
