Darts league round-up
DARTS: It was another round of fierce action and stiff competition at the Roma darts club this week.
On Monday night Ann Hartley and Melinda Martin took home victory in the ladies’ doubles, just ahead of Ann Johnson and Arlie Taylor.
In the men’s league Robert Hammond and William Hill waltzed to victory, pipping Ed Haddock and Dave Laverty at the post.
Robert Hammond, Elaine Taylor and WIlliam Hill overcame sturdy competition to claim victory in the triples.
It was a hard-fought contest, with Trudey and Ray Staples, and Brett Wilson, who also laid claim to a 180, taking out the runner-up position in the triples.
Hammond’s accuracy was pin-point on the night, taking out two 180s as well as the singles event.
David Cooper claimed the runner-up spot.
Ann Johnson once again proved her place as one of the top-ranked darts players in the competition, taking out victory in the ladies singles.
Not one to shy away from fierce competition, Arlie Taylor claimed a commendable second place in the ladies’ singles.
Trudey and Ray Staples claimed the pot luck double victory, as they were too good for Brett Wilson and Logan Outen who took home the respectable runner up position.
Trudey Staples and Brett Wilson won the mixed doubles, followed by Arlie and Robert Taylor.
