Find out who tops the bal­lot pa­pers

GREENS can­di­date Ian Ma­zlin will be on top of the bal­lot pa­pers for the seat of War­rego when vot­ers go to the polls on Novem­ber 25.

The bal­lot draw was held at BMO Ac­coun­tants in Dalby on Tues­day af­ter­noon, where it was de­clared there would be six can­di­dates for the seat.

Sec­ond on the bal­lot pa­per is the in­cum­bent mem­ber, Ann Leahy, for the Lib­eral Na­tional Party.

Third will be San­dra Bam­berry, an in­de­pen­dent from Tara.

Ms Bam­berry has been in the pub­lic eye in re­cent months, be­ing vo­cal against the coun­cil rate rise in the West­ern Downs.

She started the Face­book group Con­cerned West­ern Down Rate Pay­ers, which is pe­ti­tion­ing against the rate rise.

Fourth on the bal­lot pa­per is La­bor can­di­date Mark O’Brien, who is from Charleville.

For­mer mayor of Mara­noa Re­gional Coun­cil Rob Lough­nan, who is run­ning for Kat­ter’s Aus­tralian Party, will be fifth on the pa­per.

Last on this year’s bal­lot pa­per will be in­de­pen­dent can­di­date Mark Stone.
