Stands for all in sunny Mitchell
Mitchell markets turn on the charm
THE Queensland Country Women’s Association Christmas Markets had a day to remember as items of all shapes and sizes were on display in Mitchell.
Keen shoppers perused each stand, wanting to get their hands on one of many handmade items.
Under a hot sun, locals and visitors shared jokes, laughed and maintained a festive spirit that added to the atmosphere.
Whether it was beautiful cards from Barbara Humphrey’s and Carol Rasmussen’s stand, assorted items from Kelly MacDonnell’s I Momade or Geoff Thompson’s genuine kangaroo leather belts and whips, there was something for everyone.
Shoppers could take a break at any point by relaxing underneath a marquee provided.
The event was the second of the year, with the markets last going on display back in June.
No doubt next year’s event will be an even bigger occasion.
