Driver three times limit
POLICE had a busy weekend, apprehending a number of drivers for operating vehicles under the influence.
At 1.45am Saturday, police approached a man and woman sitting in a parked vehicle.
The male driver advised police he had driven from the Wallumbilla pub and was subsequently breath tested and blew a positive reading. Further tests revealed he had a blood alcohol reading of 0.172, three times above the limit. His license was suspended and he is due to appear in court. At 7.30am the same day, police intercepted another vehicle travelling west on the Warrego Highway.
The driver was breath tested and blew a positive reading. On further testing, the driver blew a reading of 0.112, twice the legal limit.
The driver was issued with a notice to appear in court.
