De­li­cious sticky pork

IT MAY seem like a lot of coke for this recipe, and it is, but it doesn’t get en­tirely ab­sorbed or con­sumed. It’s more for the taste fac­tor.

STICKY, SWEET PULLED PORK

YOU WILL NEED:

■ 1 piece of un­cooked roast pork

■ 2 litres of coke

■ 1 tin of con­densed milk

■ cup of bar­be­cue sauce

■ Salt or pa­prika

Place all wet in­gre­di­ents into a crock-pot and care­fully add the pork.

Cook on low for 8–10 hours. Af­ter the pork is cooked, let it cool for a bit.

Re­move the meat from the crock-pot, place it in a mix­ing bowl and mix like a cake un­til it’s like a “pulled” stringy con­sis­tency.

You may need to add in more of the juices for ex­tra mois­ture, but once it is to your lik­ing, dis­pose of the re­main­ing juices.

Serve on buns with home­made coleslaw.

It also makes good toasted sand­wiches and as a top­ping on pizza.
