Joint family business provides premium bulls for Roma sale

A JOINT family enterprise involving three generations – Stephen and Ruth Cormack, son Todd and his daughter, Beyonce – Black Gully Droughtmaster Stud was registered in January 2017.

The stud’s purebred females, some with calves at foot, have been purchased from the following studs: Glenlands, Rocky View, Alma, Glen Fosslyn, Yarrum, High Country, Bryvonlea, Karragarra, Wolfang and Nindethana.

Nindethana Hannalee was purchased for the top price at the 2017 Cream of the Crop sale at Kingaroy.

“She now has a very impressive bull calf at foot by RSVP Jackpot,” Ruth Cormack said.

Current sires include: Eversleigh Joker, Jembrae Kam, Glen Fosslyn Jackal, Karragarra MNM.

“We are proud to offer our first line of stud bulls. All were calves at foot purchased with their mothers,” Ms Cormack said.

“We run commercial droughtmaster breeders on Perola Park Wallumbilla and Oakwood, Wallumbilla. We are EU accredited and sell steers direct to slaughter.”

She said the stud was focused on polled cattle and also had herd bulls available, all rising 24 months.
