Farm­ers’ FHA sem­i­nars

THERE will be three Farm House Al­lowance sem­i­nars held at Cen­tre­link ser­vice cen­tres across Queens­land to help peo­ple bet­ter un­der­stand how to ap­ply.

Farm House­hold Al­lowance is for farm­ers fac­ing fi­nan­cial hard­ship.

In­come and as­sets may de­ter­mine the amount of pay­ment that can be re­ceived, how­ever it is im­por­tant for farm­ers not to self as­sess but make a claim to check if they’re el­i­gi­ble.

The sem­i­nars will be in Gympie on Satur­day, Oc­to­ber 13, Kin­garoy on Satur­day, Oc­to­ber 20, and Bund­aberg on Satur­day, Oc­to­ber 20.

Each ses­sion will be two hours run­ning from 10am-noon.

The ses­sions will ex­plain who is el­i­gi­ble, how to cre­ate a MyGov ac­count and ap­ply on­line, what doc­u­ments you need and how to lodge them, and what sup­port is avail­able.
