Mara­noa Busi­ness Awards

THE 2018 Mara­noa Busi­ness Awards are fast ap­proach­ing with the of­fi­cial awards cer­e­mony hap­pen­ing this week­end.

Busi­nesses from the Mara­noa re­gion will be recog­nised for their ded­i­ca­tion and the out­stand­ing work they have per­formed in their job and the re­gion.

This year there are three in­dus­try cat­e­gories for the busi­ness awards sec­tion – tourism and hos­pi­tal­ity, re­tail and whole­sale dis­tri­bu­tion, and trades, pro­fes­sions and ser­vices.

The fifth an­nual Mara­noa Busi­ness Awards will be held on Satur­day, Oc­to­ber 13 at the Ex­plorer’s Inn Func­tion Cen­tre, Roma.

They cel­e­brate lo­cal busi­ness ex­cel­lence within our re­gion.

Net­ball pre­sen­ta­tions

MARA­NOA Net­ball As­so­ci­a­tion is wrap­ping up an­other suc­cess­ful sea­son with its an­nual pre­sen­ta­tion night.

Go along and sup­port the up and com­ing net­ballers as they cel­e­brate the best play­ers of the sea­son.

Pre­sen­ta­tions are set to be held at the Roma Golf Club and will be­gin from 6.30pm.

Bas­ket­ball car­ni­val

THE Mara­noa Bas­ket­ball As­so­ci­a­tion is host­ing a bas­ket­ball com­pe­ti­tion this week­end for un­der-13s and un­der-19s.

Games com­mence at 9am on Satur­day, with a spe­cial match at 3pm.

The Big Q men’s match will see USQ and Toowoomba Saints go head to head for the ti­tle of win­ner.

Ev­ery­one is in­vited to come along and join in the ac­tion.

WAGS Expo

HEAD to Su­rat for a day of fash­ion, a long lunch and fun with the an­nual cel­e­bra­tion of In­ter­na­tional Ru­ral Women’s Day.

Leave your man be­hind but bring his wal­let as the day is set to be a cel­e­bra­tion of all things girly.

MC and guest speaker at the lunch will be Aus­tralian Sur­vivor 2017 run­ner-up Tara Pitt as well as He­len Ever­ing­ham.

A great range of stalls, auc­tion items and raf­fles will also be avail­able.
