Rapid Relief Team spokesman Mick Wilson said much effort went into making it a co-ordinated effort between all the organisations and volunteers involved.

“We’ve made contact with people on the ground in Charleville and Cunnamulla and we’ve got guys ready to load the trucks for farmers on the day,” Mr Wilson said.

“We are encouraging everyone to get on board because we don’t want anyone missing out.

“We’ve got a long way to come with a lot of hay and we want to make sure people in the most need get it.”
