Re­mem­brance Day ser­vice

RSL Roma Sub-Branch will hold the Armistice Cen­te­nary com­mem­o­ra­tion at the Roma Ceno­taph on Sun­day. This will be fol­lowed by the un­veil­ing of a re­stored World War I war tro­phy Ger­man mor­tar at the RSL Hall.

A lunch will be pro­vided and the event is free. WHERE: Roma Ceno­taph. WHEN: Sun­day, 10.30am ar­rival for 10.45am start.

Muckadilla Re­mem­brance Day

MARA­NOA Re­gional Coun­cil in­vites all to at­tend a com­pli­men­tary morn­ing tea in the Muckadilla Com­mu­nity Hall from 9.30–10am.

The Re­mem­brance Day ser­vice and ded­i­ca­tion of the Harry Mur­ray VC Wall will be­gin at 11am, recog­nis­ing all the Muckadilla ser­vice­men and women.

Af­ter the ser­vice, a lun­cheon in the Muckadilla Com­mu­nity Hall will be avail­able for pur­chase. WHERE: Muckadilla Com­mu­nity Hall.

Cricket sea­son kicks off

THE men’s 40-over fix­tures will be­gin this week­end.

Mitchell will take on Souths on Satur­day at Mitchell from 4pm.

On Sun­day In­june and Leprechauns will go head to head from 10am at In­june.

Wal­lum­billa has a bye this round.

Dance wEST03 an­nual con­cert

DANCE wEST03 will present its 15th an­nual con­cert This

is Me on Novem­ber 9 and 10, from 7pm on­wards at the Roma Cul­tural Cen­tre.

It will be a va­ri­ety show filled with dance, an adap­ta­tion of The Great­est

Show­man and some of the finest youth tal­ent in Roma.

Tick­ets are avail­able at Kim­lins Camp­ing World or on­line at Yap­sody.

WHEN: Fri­day and Satur­day, Novem­ber 9–10, from 7pm.

Roma Swim­ming Club Car­ni­val

THE Roma and District “All Stars” Open Swim­ming Car­ni­val is on this Satur­day, start­ing at 9am sharp. Gates open at 8am and warm-ups will be from 8.15–8.45am.

All events will be seeded into heats on nom­i­nated times. Medals will be awarded to the first three plac­ings in all events for in­di­vid­ual age groups. Seven years and un­der will re­ceive a par­tic­i­pa­tion medal and tro­phies will be awarded to age cham­pi­ons in eight years and over.
