A loop from Oman’s second city, Salalah. Start and finish at the airport and it’s 71 miles. Watch out for camels

When should I go?

Salalah is the same all year – 30°C – so go during a British winter for some welcome sun

Why the RS3?

Its AWD feels hilariously rearbiased on those hairpins, and the roads are empty enough to try launch control
