WHAT WERE THEY THINKING? The Cygnet left most of the world confused. A rebadged Toyota iQ with a bit of leather and a £30k price? Aston then stuffed said iQ with the running gear and suspension from its Vantage S, creating a 400bhp, leather-trimmed perambulator. Just one was made at the request of a valued, possibly unsound Aston customer. With the Cygnet V8’s vmax of 170mph and a wheelbase shorter than its track width, it’s unsurprising its buyer hasn’t been heard from since.
