Poor old xenomorph. He finally gets the chance to work with Ridley Scott again, only to be overshadowed not only by some pasty upstart called a neomorph, but by a pair of Michael Fassbenders (both ace). Story-wise, this is Alien: Cover Version, enlivened by a waterpark’s worth of blood sloshing about. Extras include Scott commentary, hour-long Making Of, lots of lovely/disturbing artwork and deleted scenes – some that flesh backstories, some that’ve been on YouTube for yonks. Matthew Leyland
