Abittersweet album released after Mercury’s death that includes snippets of vocals laid down not only as the end drew near but also during sessions for the Innuendo and The Miracle albums. A labour of love for the remaining members, notably May, who meticulously pieced songs together phrase by phrase, only Mother Love, with its samples of a concert audience underpinning the outro, instigates a pulse of loss. The title track provides a somewhat stark comparison between May’s classic Vox-driven tone and the thinner, more nasal squeal of the Deacy amp, with back-to-back phrases recorded through one set-up then the other, while the solo in Let
