The original 12-string acoustic guitar Page 1 of 1 is tuned down a whole tone, so although you’ll Notes:be playing D and Dsus4 etc, you’ll be ‘thinking’ E and Esus4. For all of George’s live performances, he plays down a further tone – probably to make it easier to sing – but the concept is exactly the same. If you want to come down the full two tones to match these performances, you should really consider using at least .13 gauge strings to avoid unstable tuning.
