Everything you need to know before playing ‘Outshined’
Outshined is played in drop D tuning (DADGBE from low to high). The amp tone is lightly scooped, so the bass and treble controls are fairly high, but the midrange is pulled down, creating a heavy but hollow sound. Keep the gain under control and be careful not to use too much otherwise the chords may lack bite. Check the gain level by playing the chords from the pre-chorus and adjust the gain so each note is clear.
