The newest restaurant on Townsville’s dining scene has been two years in development. Owned by Matt Merrin of Jam Corner fame, the upstairs part of Bridgewater is very much top end dining but at a reasonable price. Downstair, the Bridge Bar has more of a casual vibe and is a great place to grab a drink and some tapas or other smaller items to share. There is a real focus on local produce too. Although Matt oversees the operation, Ty Samuel is the head chef and drives the new space on Townsville’s riverfront.
