HAR­VEST FES­TI­VAL GRAND PA­RADE

Jump in the car for a quick drive south for the Home Hill Har­vest Fes­ti­val’s grand pa­rade and street party hap­pen­ing this week­end. The grand pa­rade will fea­ture an ar­ray of floats and per­form­ers, fol­lowed by a whole-town party fea­tur­ing live mu­sic, food stalls and clas­sic coun­try town hospi­tal­ity. The Har­vest Fes­ti­val has lit up the town of Home Hill with stacks of events since last month, and will go out with a bang with this week­end’s pa­rade and party. RE­MEM­BRANCE DAY

One hun­dred years af­ter the end of the Great War, Townsville will come to­gether on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11 month to re­mem­ber those fallen. With two cer­e­monies in Townsville and nu­mer­ous oth­ers around the re­gion, the whole of North Queens­land and beyond can pause to re­mem­ber the costs of war. A fly-past by the Air Force will be held at about 11am which can be seen at both Townsville events.
