Take time out to see lights

Townsville Bulletin - - Letters -

WELL done and thank you, Townsvilleans! Excellent Christmas lights everywhere — what a joy and what a fantastic and entertaining way to spend a couple of hours.

We didn’t even need the list of streets because so many more than were on the list had lights — it was easy just to choose a suburb and drive around. The houses with lights shone like beacons so could not be missed. We drove around Cranbrook and the houses, streets full of them, were amazing — all that detail! All that Christmas cheer and friendly neighbours. Lambert St in particular, and streets leading into it, take a bow. Halstead St is being given a run for the money and losing this year. I have to say this must be the best year ever in decorated lights. But please folks if you go, do the house on Bamford Lane last because it is awesome. Lights that dance to music, just like seen on the internet — so funny, so entertaining — this one is the icing on the Christmas cake of Townsville 2006. SALLYPIKE,

Currajong.
