Kids’ fitness tests mooted
AUSTRALIANS believe their children should take fitness tests at school to overcome expanding waistlines, a survey shows.
A study by Research Australia has found that almost four in five people support mandatory fitness testing to combat childhood obesity.
Support was just as high among parents as those without dependents.
Research Australia chief executive Rebecca James said the results, from a poll of more than 800 people, were surprising given expert opinion on this issue had been divided.
