All I want for Christmas

Socks? Cigars? Hot dogs? What do the stars who have everything want for Christmas?

Townsville Bulletin - - Weekend Extra -

YOU might think they already have everything they could possibly want, but Hollywood’s biggest stars still have Christmas wish lists. GEORGE CLOONEY: ‘‘What I’d like someone to send me this year is a case of frozen hot dogs from a Chicago restaurant called Wiener’s Circle. Theirs is the best hot dog I ever had in my life. ’’ ORLANDO BLOOM: ‘‘A pair of socks of an unusual colour would be perfect. I already have quite a few at home — even ones that glow in the dark.’’ BEYONCE KNOWLES: ‘‘I started painting in oils while filming Austin Powers inGoldmember. It takes me away and it’s really peaceful. So, I’m hoping there is something that has to do with art in my presents.’’ HUGH LAURIE: ‘‘Would you believe, I’m into boxing? I took it up to keep myself fit while shooting House.I’m not very good at it, but I love getting into the ring and pounding opponents. So, I hope there’s something about fisticuffs among my presents.’’ ANASTACIA: ‘‘I wear lots of butterfly jewellery and often mention them in my lyrics. To get another piece to add to my collection would be wonderful.’’ DAVID TENNANT: ‘‘Anything to do with Doctor Who — old books or photos. I collectDoctorWhoDVDs. When I was at school, I wrote an essay on how my greatest desire was to play Doctor Who on TV. Funny how it’s all worked out.’’ PIERCE BROSNAN: ‘‘I spent last Christmas with the family at our Hawaiian getaway, painting. And I gave myself a present of painting material. So, my Christmas list includes anything to do with my hobby.’’ playing in 1997, while I was in The NakedTruth, I’ve been hooked on golf. Since then, I’ve been elected the top woman golfer among the Hollywood set. I’m hoping for something exciting to do with the great game.’’ CLIVE OWEN: ‘‘Something horsey would be a perfect Christmas present. I discovered my passion for riding horses when I had to learn to ride as King Arthur a couple of years ago. Even my wife and two young daughters have been bitten by the bug. We go riding as a family at weekends.’’ DONALD SUTHERLAND: ‘‘I love fine wines, so a bottle of a vintage I haven’t tasted before would be fantastic.’’ WHOOPI GOLDBERG: ‘‘I’ve been smoking cigars since I was a teenager. I’ve got my own humidor at home. I make sure all my friends know about the ones I like, especially when Christmas is around the corner.’’ MADONNA: ‘‘There’s bound to be a jigsaw puzzle in my stocking because most of my friends know that I’m a puzzle addict.’’ DAVID HYDE PIERCE: ‘‘Any books about music and musicians — especially pianists. I studied classical piano at Yale University and I once toyed with the idea of becoming a concert pianist before acting took over.’’ BRADPITT: ‘‘I’ve been interested in gardening for some years now. I enjoy reading up about the different styles of gardens and about plants. And my collection of gardening books still isn’t big enough, so I would like more, please.’’ MELISSA JOAN HART: ‘‘I collect Shirley Temple and Audrey Hepburn memorabilia and I’m hoping I’ll get something new for my collection.’’
