Fitness, money favoured
MORE than 16 million British adults are set to make a New Year’s resolution, but more than half will lose their resolve before the end of June, a study published in the UK shows.
Next week, 38per cent of adults will embark upon 2007 with a New Year’s resolution in mind, according to research published yesterday on financial website Unbiased.co.uk.
Losing weight or improving diet tops the list, with a quarter hoping to shed some kilos.
Tackling finances comes in a close second, with 21 per cent planning to get their financial affairs in shape.
More exercise and giving up smoking rank joint third — one in 10 adults are expected to attempt the health-boosting measures. And six per cent want to achieve greater happiness.
