Re­funds for cricket fans

AL­MOST 50,000 cricket fans will be re­funded af­ter Aus­tralia an­ni­hi­lated Eng­land in the first three days of the Box­ing Day Test.

Cricket au­thor­i­ties yes­ter­day an­nounced fans with tick­ets to day four of the Test were el­i­gi­ble for full re­funds, mi­nus a $2.50 ad­min­is­tra­tion fee.

About 47,000 tick­ets were pre-sold to to­day’s fourth day of the Test, with 244,351 fans pack­ing the MCGover the first three days.

Tick­ets to day five had yet to go on sale.

Re­funds will be avail­able from 8am next Tues­day, ex­clud­ing com­pli­men­tary and cor­po­rate ticket hold­ers.

Fans have 30 days from to­day to make a re­fund claim.
