the dating game

Townsville Bulletin - - Savvy -

Introducing your girlfriend / boyfriend to your parentsisa decision that requires timing and precision. Too quick and you may scare your newfound love off, but wait too long and they might start to question the seriousness of the relationship. We asked one Savvy bachelor when he thought the time wasright and then asked the opposite sex for their opinion. Trent Fellows, 20, Cairns: I guess it depends on the person. I’d wait a month but I might do it quicker If I thought it was going to be serious. Jessica Gornalle, 20, Bushland Beach: It depends on how serious it is. If you think it’s going to be long-term you’d introduce them, but if it’s just a bit of fun I wouldn’t at all. I’d wait a month. Gunn Bratland, 22, North Ward: Straight away — why wouldn’t you? If it’s your girlfriend or boyfriend you should feel proud and happy about them, so why wait? Samantha Cooper, 17, Rosslea: I’d wait about four to five months just to make sure he really liked me before I introduced him. Plus, I wouldn’t want to scare him away with my crazy family.
