personnel have been at pains leading up to the celebration of New Year’s Eve tomorrow to remind people to party safe when they party hard. It’s a warning well worth considering.Everyone appreciates the celebration of the old year and welcoming of a new one, full of the promise of fresh possibilities and challenges. To spoil it by doing something stupid has tended to be tragic for many people. As the authorities line up for another big night, it is well to remember that much effort has been put in to making this an enjoyable celebration for everyone.Councils and businesses across the region have invested heavily in activities designed for a range of people to enjoy. There is lots to choose from and much to gain from taking part, but safety and respect for others’ enjoyment has to be the key.
