Parks are not council’s to sell
I THOUGHT that one of the great things about being Australian was ‘‘ fairness’’.
I ask myself: ‘‘ is it fair that the council can sell public land without talking to the public?’’ There is a line in the sand which should not be crossed.
The members of the council are only the current custodians of the land; they are not the owners of the land.
Selling land that line.
This needs to be stopped and our ‘‘ green land’’ needs to be kept for the future generation. Let’s be fair to future generations and keep our green spaces otherwise n e x t t i me i t mi g h t b e developers who buy the land.
