Parental discretion

Townsville Bulletin - - Text The Editor -

Re: lack of home readers being read with parents. If only the parents realised the huge gap they are making between their child’s reading and others in the class. I regularly see gaps of up to 20 levels, which makes the teachers job incredibly difficult as they accommodate the gifted and ones falling behind. Parents lift your game for your kids sake!! Mum, Deeragun Kathleen, HP. Does the term ‘‘ ageing population’’ mean anything to you? We ‘‘ breeders’’ pay tax too, and our kids will pay higher taxes again to support grumpy old seniors like you. A parents room in Flinders St is a simple business decision. Shops want shoppers, parents shop. The council would spend 10 times as much on a corporate function, of course there should be a decent parents room in our CBD. Kathleen, Bushland Beach
