Townsville Bulletin - - News - Emily Macdonald

MELBOURNE jockey Danny Nikolic has been questioned at length by police over the murder of his father-in-law, Les Samba. Nikolic spent two hours being interviewed by homicide squad police, but it is understood he is not considered a suspect in the Melbourne murder. It is understood police will also question Samba’s partner in the ownership of a number of racehorses, Sydney property developer Ron Medich, who is facing charges of murdering his former business associate Michael McGurk. An unknown gunman shot Samba dead in Middle Park on Sunday night. Nikolic and a family member have lived on the same street.
