Yasi re­cov­ery in­for­ma­tion at meet­ing

TOWNSVILLE busi­nesses will be able to ac­cess the lat­est in­for­ma­tion about Cy­clone Yasi eco­nomic re­cov­ery ef­forts at a meet­ing to be held on March 4.

The Depart­ment of Em­ploy­ment, Eco­nomic Devel­opm e n t a n d I n n o v a t i o n ( DEEDI) is or­gan­is­ing the free break­fast meet­ing, to be h e l d a t T o n y I r e l a n d Sta­dium.

DEEDI re­gional ex­ec­u­tive Peter Mel­lor s ai d while many Townsville busi­nesses had re­turned to nor­mal op­er­a­tions fol­low­ing the cy­clone, oth­ers which ser­viced the Cas­sowary Coast, south­ern Table­lands and ar­eas of Char­ters Tow­ers, Etheridge and Flin­ders Shires had a real in­ter­est in re­cov­ery in­for­ma­tion.

DEEDI’s busi­ness re­cov­ery of­fi­cers and speak­ers from a g e n c i e s i n c l u d i n g t h e Queens­land Ru­ral Ad­just­ment Au­thor­ity ( QRAA), Cen­tre­link and the ATO will ad­dress the break­fast event with the lat­est in­for­ma­tion o n a s s i s t a n c e .
