Lohan feels ‘ happy’

Townsville Bulletin - - The Goss -

LINDSAY Lohan insists she is focusing on her recovery and taking things ‘‘ one day at a time’’ as she looks to resume her acting career, in a US television interview.

‘‘ I feel great. I feel happy. There’s always you know . . . bumps we have on the road,’’ she told Extra’s Jerry Penacoli at her LA home.

‘‘ As long as I’m focusing on the one thing that I know I need to put first in my life, which is my recovery and stuff, then I’m doing good and that’s most important to me,’’ Lohan said in excerpts from the interview.

The Mean Girls actress was released from the Betty Ford Center in January, where she was sent for a three-month, court-ordered stay after testing positive for cocaine in her system while on probation.

Some of the ‘‘ bumps’’ for the troubled star, who is on probation for a 2007 drunk-driving case, include possible jail time for a felony grand-theft charge for allegedly stealing a $ 2500 necklace from a high-end jeweller.

Lohan is mulling a plea deal offered her by prosecutors for the alleged theft that would include six months in jail.
