IT doesn’t matter if you like Latin or line dancing, there’s something for you at the D a n c e n s a t i o n s c a b a r e t nights.

The new dance studio in Kirwan will be celebrating their first monthly cabaret night on Saturday which promises to be an evening of food and fancy footwork.

Co-owners Melissa and Rohan Prince first met 10 y e a r s a g o a nd r o mance blossomed on t he dance floor. They started up their own business, Bridal Blitz, several years ago to teach soon-to-be-married couples how to dance but they had long dreamed of opening their own studio.

Now their dream has become a reality and they have been teaching not only Latin and ballroom but ballet – on behalf of Ann Roberts, from tiny tots to primary – zumba and pilates.

The studio is located on Castlemaine St in the old Sun City Dance Centre and members of the well-known Killey family will be at the official launch party cabaret night to celebrate the building being returned to its former glory as a dance hall.

‘‘ We’ve always wanted to open our own studio but the opportunity never arose until now and we feel the timing is perfect,’’ Ms Prince said.

‘‘ I did ballet with Ann Roberts from when I was six until 20 so it will be great teaching for them as the place was like my second home.’’

Anyone from beginners to experienced dancers are welcomed.
