Hoons win cut on appeal
TWO drag-racing hoons jailed over a Melbourne crash that killed a teenager have won a reduction in the time they have been disqualified from driving. Damian Rodi and Jarrod Rooke spoke to each other at a set of lights before racing down a suburban road. A passenger in Rooke’s turbo-charged vehicle was killed. The appeal court found the change in the disqualification period recognised the men’s good rehabilitation prospects.
