Looters find some support

Yet another slap on the wrist, no wonder there is so much frustration in the ranks when this is all they get. What happened to the 5 years jail or so. Posted by: Barney62 Tsv How sad the whole episode was "... distressing for them and their families but they both admit it was a gross error". So their lawyers said. What rubbish! They were opportunistic thieves. And what about the cost to the shop owners for repairs, police time, court time and so it goes on. No conviction recorded and a community service order – frankly it’s criminal! Posted by: JayJ I actually think the punishment is fine. A slap on the wrist is OK for stealing lollies, especially as it is only their first offence. If they do it again, then that is when you come down hard - no more chances. Jail is excessive for a bunch of kids smashing a window and stealing some lollies. Posted by: Leah, Qld

Attacking the Nashos

Why do your and my rates go to fund events such as this? If the Nashos want to hold an event they are welcome, but I don’t want to help fund it. Again Tyrell and his team of losers look to their own agendas and expect everybody to pay for it. Drop rates and charges, don’t fund unimportant, minority events. Posted by: Just Ice, Tsv Good on you TCC for getting behind this event, it will no doubt be great for business and the people of Townsville will support it like they do with any major event. Pity some don’t agree. Posted by: Bow of Brisbane
