Williams has clot removed
SERENA Williams, a former world No. 1 and 13-time grand slam singles champion, is well and was recovering at home after emergency surgery on Monday to remove a blood clot from her lungs. Williams suffered a pulmonary embolism last week and a second health scare that required her to undergo an emergency operation. The 29-year-old American tennis star said in a statement she was at home recovering but under strict doctor’s supervision.
