17 hurt in eatery crash
A PARAMEDIC has described a chaotic scene after an elderly man crashed his car into a southeast Melbourne restaurant, injuring 17 people. Ambulance Victoria said 12 people, including the driver of the car, were treated by staff at the scene. Police said another five people suffered minor injuries. Paramedic Brian Chesson was greeted by chaos when he arrived at the restaurant. It is thought the 70-yearold driver was trying to park his car at the Food Star restaurant when he blacked out.
