Govt adviser quits over car
THE government has been told to explain the details of an incident that led a ministerial adviser to resign. Child Safety and Sport Minister Phil Reeves’ senior media adviser resigned on Sunday after his government car was involved in an incident at the weekend. No other details were provided in the one-line release from the minister’s office. Opposition Leader John Paul Langbroek said the government held double standards when it came to incidents involving government cars and called on Premier Anna Bligh to release full details.
