Labor, Liberal, etc

Ian Bragg ( letters March 7) tries to pretend that John Howard introduced the GST after an election. In fact he ran his election campaign based on the GST and was voted in to office. He had the guts to be honest. Unlike Juliar and the so-called carbon tax! Abbie we Please please please can someone revoke Gillard’s passport so she can’t get back in the country. BH4817. All my working life I was a Labor voter. So far in my retirement I have stayed loyal to Labor, but now that we have a labour Prime Minister being governed by a green politician I am giving my next vote to the opposition. Jack. Proserpine. So now it’s come down to insurance versus govt over flood responsibility! Seems a lot of the flooding in Brisbane could have been avoided if the dams had discharged earlier but I suppose with it being liquid gold these days and being run as a profit organisation and not the free necessity in life it once was they thought they would cash in! Another proud Labor strategy that needs change and should not be charged at an exorbitant rate creating problems for the average household! Bob Kelso
