Flash flooding warning for SA
SOUTH Australians are being warned about flash flooding after Adelaide received more than its average total rainfall for March in just four-and-a-half hours. The SES was called to more than 51 jobs, mostly in the northern suburbs. Adelaide recorded 30mm of rainfall, more than the average total for March of 25mm, in the 24 hours to 9am. The rain, the heaviest since March 1985, is due to tropical air from the north interacting with a trough of low-pressure.
