Flash flood­ing warn­ing for SA

SOUTH Aus­tralians are be­ing warned about flash flood­ing af­ter Ade­laide re­ceived more than its av­er­age to­tal rain­fall for March in just four-and-a-half hours. The SES was called to more than 51 jobs, mostly in the north­ern sub­urbs. Ade­laide recorded 30mm of rain­fall, more than the av­er­age to­tal for March of 25mm, in the 24 hours to 9am. The rain, the heav­i­est since March 1985, is due to trop­i­cal air from the north in­ter­act­ing with a trough of low-pres­sure.
