New 9/ 11 video emerges nearly 10 years later
A NEW video emerged of the collapse of the Twin Towers on 9/ 11, almost ten years after the terror attacks on New York and Washington.
The 17-minute video posted on video-sharing website YouTube captured the aftermath of the impact from a police helicopter circling the World Trade Center site, including the officers’ reactions as they watch the skyscrapers collapse.
The footage was recorded by the NYPD Aviation Unit, according to spokesman Sgt. Carlos Nieves who was asked to confirm the authenticity of the video. According to information provided by the person who published the video on YouTube, the footage was released by the National Institute of Standards and Technology in response to a request under the Freedom of Information Act.
